Aradia has performed as a soloist through out the United States, Egypt and Switzerland. She has danced at many of the top hotels, restaurants and clubs in Las Vegas, as well as performing for Celine Dion’s wedding, BlockBusters premiere opening for “The Mummy” and several TV spots on the Discovery and Bravo Channel. She is a sought after instructor and choreographer, her professionalism and friendly personality make her one of the most requested dancers in Las Vegas.

Aradia’s love for Middle Eastern dance began at the age of 7 when she witnessed her first performance. The passion and beauty of the dance sent her running home to her family asking to be enrolled in “Belly Dance” classes. Over 20 years later, Aradia is still as passionate about this art as ever.

Her style is a mixture of Arabic and Turkish cabaret, with an authenticity appreciated by her Middle Eastern audiences. She has diligently worked to become a well-rounded dancer in Egyptian, Lebanese and Turkish oriental dance as well as the many folkloric dances that comprise the Middle East. She has refrained from studying any of the classical dance forms, such as ballet and jazz, in an attempt to maintain a purity in her dance style. Aradia’s performances, full of energy and strength, and coupled with fluid technique, express her extensive training, as well as her sheer joy that is evident in her smile.

“UNMATA, The Fast & The Furious”
This intense workshop focuses on fast! Amy will lay down the stylistic foundation and technical breakdown for UNMATA’s awe-inspiring omis, ferocious shimmies, and bad-ass body pops.

Each movement will include “transition-training” so it can be used alone or linked with other movements to create a short choreography. UNMATA is known for beat-your-butt drilling and technical obsession, so bring lots of water and come prepared to sweat!

“Overlaying Isolations, Amy Sigil Style”
Amy’s Art of Overlay is at the heart of this intermediate to advanced bellydance workshop aimed to add expressive layers and distinction to your dance style. Although controlled simultaneous movement is a complex idea, this class provides a simple approach certain to bring impressive results.

Beginning with a thorough breakdown of basic isolation technique, Amy will expand such elements as core strength and relaxed tension, and then demonstrate helpful exercises that are necessary to develop an awareness needed to isolate key muscle groups. Then she will teach and drill an isolation combo that incorporates the artistic flare unique to Amy Sigil and UNMATA.

Because this class is designed for the intermediate to advanced dancer, a sufficient understanding of balance and timing is prerequisite.
